Planning for the future is the same as not planning for the future.
Since except for this moment right now, our entire lives are behind us, all else is entirely hypothetical. Whether we meticulously plan or not, we are subject to a perpetual volley of surprises all the same.

Discuss.

5. Now Hedges,
Would the noted philosopher Lamont "Bim" Thomas say "perpetual volley of surprises?" No. He'd grin and say "FUCK THAT! Weird shit gon' happen anyway, man."

2. I would have to agree
For example, when I planned to go the jazz club? It just wasn't the same as Planning to go the jazz club.

Rocks in them ears?

It *can* be a lot more fun to participate than to just lurk.

But don't PLAN on it. :silly:

I am deeply honored, by the way, that your first post is in my doofy faux-philosophical joke thread.
