What's everyone doing for the 4th of July weekend?
BBQs? Fireworks? Parades? Going to the beach or to the lakes? I'm heading to the Cape with the millions of other lemmings.

What are you all doing? Hopefully something fun! :woohoo: :bounce:

5. Sitting home with my no money self....watching Shah Rukh movies...
I get a raise at the end of next week, but since I'm broke until then I'll be sitting around here mentally spending that money, LOL.

It's okay, though, I don't mind chilling at home watching movies.

13. Legal?
I look at the fourth of July as a day to make some amends towards Native Americans by patronizing their fine commercial establishments.

I'll look for the Higgs-Boson, but failing that I'll just git drunk and blow shit up.

exercising remarkable restraint, and posting nonetheless to call attention to said restraint.

11. Yearly family reunion in Indiana
:bounce: On the 4th itself we'll be shouting off our own fireworks before sitting on lawn chairs in a vacant lot to see if we can actually view any of the city's fireworks display, rather than actually going to the city's fireworks display :bounce:

Yes, you're all dying of jealousy right now I know...

14. We have nothing special planned.
Maybe hang out with some friends on Sunday and I'll probably watch A Capitol Fourth on PBS Monday night.

No Taste of Chicago or fireworks for me and Mr. Wonderful. Can't handle the crowds anymore and besides it's too damn hot here in the Windy City right now.

21. I'm taking my dad, mom, brother, and child to Natchez.
We have rooms on the river. There's going to be a festival over in Vidalia, across the river, so we'll go to the festival probably, and then there will also be a parade on the river front--I assume it's going to be a watercraft parade. Then, fireworks at dusk.

And I paid for all of our rooms and will cover all the meals and expenses--it's the gift I gave my pop for his 75th birthday--and it will probably be one of the last trips our entire family takes together.

24. Working
I sell booze. Fourth of July has "booze" written all over it. So I will be toiling in my wine and liquor department. I don't mind though - I work early hours so I'll have all afternoon and evening free.

Hubby and I will no doubt barbecue. Then I will read the Declaration of Independence, a tradition with me that began when my kids were quite small (I've never believed in celebrating holidays just because - I have to celebrate them for what they are about). It's just hubby and I now but the tradition remains.

We'll lounge on the deck in the evening where we can catch glimpses of the fireworks displays lower down in the valley.

My dad's supposed to come for dinner Friday with the kids and I, we're going to see fireworks Saturday, I work Sunday, the 4th should be somewhat quiet, and I will probably have a visit from my new dude on the 5th. Not too bad. :D
