Oh dear lord
I just accidently posted something on a different board that could affect my business.
I was just joking around with a fake ID and posted something silly with my real ID.
I'm freaking out. Has anyone else been this stupid?!?!

2. Egads! Sorry to hear it.
Perhaps you can send email to moderator/owner and ask them to pull it if you can't edit it?

Hope you find a solution!

4. I have posted on
Free Republic and worried about it, but this is more serious. You did not give details. If you can appeal to the mods of this forum to delete it, I would do so. I hope it turns out alright for you.:-)

5. Well, I've now accepted my great idiocy
There is no editing that is allowed on that site but I will move along like nothing happened. Yes, I'm screwed big time right in time for Christmas. YAY! Movin' along...

Actually, I wanted to know if anyone else had said something they really regretted on the internet. I can't be the only one.

7. Yes, I did once. I lost my temper and said something I really regretted
that could have really screwed up my life. What made it worse was that the poster I replied to wrote a lovely and thoughtful response to my harsh and thoughtless statement, while a couple of other people there called me names. I have tried to forget about it, but it still haunts me. I have not gone back to that site since, though I have made up countless replies and apologies in my head. I have learned the lesson of keeping my temper.:-(

8. usually...
...whatever I do on the internet is what I mean to do. In your case, scucci, that really sucks. :( I hope everything gets better real quick.

9. Kind of, but it wasn't bad...
Michael was using my internet explorer to read DU a few months ago, and made the computer remember his password...no big deal; but I hadn't had enough coffee one day, and logged in as him and posted.

Now I just stick to AOL to read DU...I can't screw it up that way.

10. If you think THAT'S bad ...
... a few years ago I was dating a young woman who had some, shall we say, interesting sexual proclivities. And while her admiring boyfriend was at work, she would paint the 'Net red with stories of her sexual exploits. All of which were stamped with my identifying sig file.

She may be gone, but the Spam isn't. Gone, alas, but she's not forgotten.

11. Geni once sent nude pictures of herself to a board

To be honest they weren't nude pictures, but close. Lingerie shots, VERY revealing. she was sending them to a friend, and they were both posting to a board, and she thought she was private messenging this person, and posted the pics on the board by accident. hehehe Needless to say, she made a bunch of new friends.

I'm counting on her NOT seeing this post, as she doesn't look at DU on the weekends, and the lounge rolls up so fast.

13. hahaha No, unfortunately...

...that was 3- 4 years ago. And what's even more unfortunate is that a computer crash a couple of years ago destoyed the pics.

Leave it to a SysAd not to have her personal computer backed up.
