Poll question: Which word will Dubya use most in tonight's speech? |
|
I'm excluding of course the word "Iraq", as well as the short common words such as "is" "the" or "and". Otherwise I think these will be the top three words.

14. I don't think he'll mention the word insurgents at all |
|
Look, he's going to a large area on Fort Bragg--probably Tolson Physical Fitness Center, which is the nicest gym out there. He's going to be surrounded by guys who have had buddies blown out from under them by insurgents.
If this quarterwit thinks he can tell Fort Bragg Paratroopers that the insurgency isn't so bad, that we're winning the war against the insurgents, that the insurgent attacks are declining or any of the other bald-faced lies he likes, he better think again. If this idiot gets 5000 paratroopers, snake-eaters and other assorted bad-asses in one room and tells them things are rosy in Iraq, they will kill him. They will beat the shit out of the SS, block all the exits, storm the stage and beat him to death with their bare hands.
Now understand that the number of enlisted at this speech is going to be low because they'll only risk allowing Republicans in with him. The joint's going to be thick with majors and colonels, though.
No, we'll hear "freedom" three hundred times and "democracy" 125. We might even hear "liberty" and we'll definitely hear "Saddam" tied to "9/11."

Bush has to speak in front of a crowd that hasn't been vetted. He has to answer questions from out of work Dads. And worried Moms. And wounded soldiers who have had "their resolve" cruelly tested. He doesn't get to take softball questions from plants like Jeff Gannon...which aren't even questions but attacks on Bush's advesaries. Ah. What a fantasy. To live in a free society where people get access and accountability from their elected leaders. Instead of contrived infommercials.
