My Uncle nearly had a heart attack when I said I may run for State Senate |
|
He just got this big smile and was so excited. He lost his business after Bush became president and our bumbling Republican Governor, Judy Martz, (Montana) tanked our economy. Now that the Governor and State Lege are solid Blue things are picking up. Man, I want to do some good. DUers basically convinced me to go and give it a shot a few weeks ago. Since then I contacted our Democratic County Chairman for some info and I'm pretty sure it's going to happen. My family really needs some good news. We've last my grandfather and an aunt in the last few years, plus almost everybody has lost jobs or been seriously hurt financially. It made him so happy that I said that. He used to be a Senate Page for former Senate Majority Leader, Mike Mansfield, and Democratic politics have been a big part of my family forever. My grandfather used to be friends with JFK, RFK and Mansfield, as well as all kinds of people in DCm, where he was President of the National Congress Of American Indians and an Indian liaison. I've always felt that I was the grandson that most wanted to be like him.
I feel good things on the horizon for us Dems. It's been a dark four years and we still have a long road to hoe, but good things will be coming. I just know it. DUers will be among those leading the fight.

when you get your campaign web site set up. Also solicite the DNC for an outside campaign manager. They have some really good people ready to take the reigns on a campaign in the red states I hear.
Good Luck!!
