I'm going to bookmark this thread -- I have stuff to do right now -- but I want to read these. I read the piece in Magnet magazine that the article in Willamette Week mentions -- it's a little creepy, because I read it a few weeks before Smith died and thought, 'oh, hell, that doesn't sound good -- I suppose we'll be mourning him soon.' I hoped it was exaggerated, or that he'd get help somehow.

I figured there were a few folks around here who would appreciate these pieces, especially the WW piece. It's difficult to comprehend, no matter how hard one tries, but it's still worth trying. And it's worth honoring a life that gave so much to so many, regardless, imho.
Salut!
