| Saw trailer for Return of the King last night - WOW! |

when I was at the all new digitally remastered extended viewing of ALIEN, which was also wow.
Return of the King looks PHENOMENAL!! looks like it will make up quite nicely for Two Towers. Shelob - cool! Armies of tens of thousands - cool!
I can't wait!

Two Towers was okay, but jackson really took some idiotic liberties with the story, and I found it disappointing. According to the few minutes one sees in a clip, it appears that Jackson is following the book quite closely for the last one - the wyverns (or whatever theyre called) looked cool, Gondor looked awesome, the battle-field looked awesome, the path of the dead looks awesome, and he did indeed include the bit of merry (or pippin, can't remember) riding into battle on the horse with Eomer. (sorry - been a year since reading the book, so forgetting some names - by Eomer I mean the woman sister of the hero guy with the similar name)

watching the sun set recently with a good friend, talking about the LOTR movies.
He looked at me and said "Well, I'm sure the Return of the King is going to be spectacular. And, really, Jackson's got to get the oscar....Come on....I mean, what do you want?" :)
