Am I the only one here who worships Office Space?
Edited on Sun Nov-02-03 07:16 PM by Mass_Liberal
Like the goddamn bible? I have watched it at least 100 times. Definetly one of the best and funniest movies ever, ranking up there with The Holy Grail and the rest (all be it completely different)

14. There was a great article in Entertainment Weekly...
... a few months ago about how little faith the studio (Fox) had in the flick. They second guessed everything from the deadpan tone ("It's not wacky enough!") to the gangsta-rap soundtrack. Small wonder it didn't get the success it deserved.

Now Fox wants to cash in with a deluxe DVD set, and they're trying to screw Mike Judge on the deal, so he won't sign off on it. I hope they come to their senses soon, I'd buy it again to have a nice anamorphic transfer.

Trying to find the EW story on the Web. They used to have a decent magazine archive on their site.

3. No. You are not.
I think that it hit a tad too close to home when it came out. As corporations finally start catching some crap it's making a comeback.

I love the deadpan expressions of some characters as opposed to the fake bullshit enthusiasm of the corporate whores.

Great flick.

5. Gets better every time!
It is so spot on true, ad it applies to almost every workplace, not just cubicle land.

The more I see of corporate America, the more I trust civil service over it...

18. Aha! Another "Lebowski" fan!
I like "Office Space" but the movie we quote most often at my house is "The Big Lebowski". I know, a little weird. My son even uses that movie as a compatibility test with girls.

13. Ummmm.... riiiiiiight.....
As with The Big Lebowski, there are few moments in life that don't call for a quote from Office Space:

If everything goes, well, I'll be showin' her my "O" face - Oh! Oh! Oh!

Watch out for yer cornhole, buddy.

I'm gonna need to ask you to... go ahead and come in Saturday, and while you're at it, why don't you... go ahead and come in Sunday too.

20. I believe I do a killer
imitation of Gary Cole in "Office Space". It's very annoying, apparently, to co-workers who haven't seen the movie.

17. umm... * * * *, yeah
I wonder how the producers managed to get it so right?, they musta followed alot of 9-5ers around.

I love the gangsta, floopy disk scene.

Speaking from programming experience, being one, two, three digits off is quite possible, I have done it so many times.

"white collar resort" and "Pounding is the ass" prision

19. I saw it in an empty theater during its theatrical run...
Was laughing so hard you'd have thought it was a sellout.

Now whenever I get a case of the Mondays, I have sex with Jennifer Aniston while sipping from my coffee mug.

21. I don't worship it....
But I love that movie. Tomorrow, as with every other Monday, I'll have a case of the "Mondays." Favorite quote from the movie: "It's not that I'm lazy, it's that I just don't care." - Peter Gibbons telling that to the Bills.

...when I finally saw that movie, I KNEW that Stephen Root was the perfect person to cast as Milton! I always loved the little animated clips they used to show on MTV of him.

23. "Hey Lawrence, you wanna come over?"
"No man, I don't want you fuckin' up my life too." God I LOVE this movie. In fact, I own it and watch it at least twice a month. In fact, I just put it in the old VCR so I won't be alone with my case of the Monday's.
