The self-furling jib came undone at the bottom hallard. Meaning that that tie went to the top of the mast. I had to hoist my buddy up there on the winch six inches at a time....oye. So we finally got her fixed up and had a nice sail...but man was it cold!
Just got in as the darkness hit too.
Not that you folks care..just habit I guess!

Well done. At least you are around to tell the tale, which is the first rule of the sea... get your ass back to land.
I went sailing today too. What a beautiful day for it.

say you haven't had a good sail without having to go up the mast at least once to retrieve a halyard. Cripes, try doing it singlehanded on a jib halyard with a fractional rig, to retrieve a spinnaker halyard! Stinkpots become more attractive every day.
