What the medheads don't know, and the pharmcos don't want you to
Edited on Fri Jul-08-05 08:07 PM by 4MoronicYears
know....

This is in response to a question from Faithnotgreed.

A: Many people are living with compromised/dysregulated immunity, making them susceptible to cold sores, fever blisters, autoimmune diseases, etc. etc.

B: There are plant molecules that exist in nature referred to as biological response modifiers. Aloe vera contains a very powerful one.

C: It is patented by a laboratory that makes diabetic care products.

D: It is very difficult to extract, standardize, stabilize and preserve this molecule, it is very delicate.

E: When this particular "sugar" docks on white blood cells... a dramatic increase in the production of interleukin, chemokines, chemotactic factors and other immune system messenger molecules takes place.

F: This sugar, was awarded a patent by the European Union for helping the immune system to remove cholesterol plaque from your arteries.

G: Very few companies who claim to have this sugar in their product actually do. This has been proven by independant laboratory testing.

H: Another company that has patented a complex of this original magical sugar, along with 7 others that are involved with promoting robust cell to cell communication has been healing people for several years now.

I: There have been some perty amazing health restorations because of these sugars.... take them if you need them, find them where you can, learn what is possible, it would drop your doc to the floor if he knew.

J: I am presently taking the original sugar for immune system fortification and modulation. Many many diseases that you THINK are not associated with immune system dysregulation in reality are. Your mileage may vary, offer not good in the continental United States, offer ends when we pull our troops out of Iraq.

1. I don't know about any suger
But I do know they are finding that many diseases are autoimmune--type one diabetes, for instance. Many blood disorders, and of course things like multiple sclerosis, rhuematoid arthritis, etc.

4. No... not more information, rather proof that your body does much
better if it is under the influence of these BRM's rather than not. I'm talking about cold hard scientific facts, not someone's opinion, not testimonials, not hersay, but actual science. It will be up to you to figure out what this translates into when applied to a person with immune system dysregulation/dysfunction. This is taken from the National Institutes of Health.

Effects of a glyconutrient on macrophage functions.

Lefkowitz DL, Stuart R, Gnade BT, Roberts E, Lefkowitz SS.

Department of Biological Sciences, Texas Tech University, Lubbock, Texas 79409, USA.

Previous studies have shown that mannosylated bovine serum albumin (mBSA) enhances the respiratory burst (RB), phagocytosis, and killing of Candida albicans and Escherichia coli by resident murine peritoneal macrophages (Mphi). Upregulation of the above Mphi functions was associated with the binding of mBSA to the macrophage mannose receptor. The present study was done to determine if certain glyconutrients could stimulate Mphi functions in a similar manner. Resident peritoneal murine Mphi collected from C57BL/6 mice were exposed to the glyconutrients for 10 and 60 min. The RB was measured using chemiluminescence. Both phagocytosis and killing were measured after incubation with each of the following microorganisms: Candida albicans, Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. The percent phagocytosis and killing were determined using fluorescence microscopy. Results indicated that certain glyconutrients, caused a dose and time dependent effect on Mphi-induced killing of all three microorganisms.

6. Let me let you in on a secret. The trade name for this particular
mucilaginous polysaccharide, (complex sugar) is Acemannan. Believe it or not, it is patented and approved for injection into Fibrosarcoma tumors by veterinarians.

Another name it goes by is "Manapol". Google it and tell me where you found it and I'll tell you if you are heading in the right direction.

Hint: The company's name begins with a "C". Read all you can about it, learn about it... apply what you learn, benefit from it.

Fractionation of Aloe vera L. inner gel, purification and molecular profiling of activity.

Talmadge J, Chavez J, Jacobs L, Munger C, Chinnah T, Chow JT, Williamson D, Yates K.

Laboratory of Transplantation Immunology, Department of Pathology and Microbiology, University of Nebraska Medical Center, 987660 Nebraska Medical Center, South 42nd Street, Ohama, NE 68198-7660, USA. jtalmadg@unmc.edu

Products derived from the inner gel of the Aloe vera L. plant have demonstrated multiple clinical activities, and are used routinely to accelerate wound healing. However, typical of natural products, the complex nature of Aloe vera gels may contribute to diverse pharmacologic activities. Our focus on the hematopoietic activities of Aloe vera extracts is extended by these functional studies, which used purified fractions from Aloe vera gel and included a preliminary organ-specific in vitro molecular profile. Studies using a >99% pure carbohydrate fraction from Aloe vera extracts revealed increased hematopoietic and hematologic activity compared to the starting material. In addition, this fraction differentially regulated liver and lung cytokine mRNA levels, resulting in significant increases in message for hematopoietic cytokines . This profile of activity differed from another fraction obtained from Aloe vera, suggesting the potential for diverse pharmacologic activity. The molecular studies were undertaken using co-cultures of organ slices to limit the amount of purified material required. In summary, these studies revealed significant hematopoietic activity by both pharmacologic and molecular analysis using a >99% pure carbohydrate fraction from Aloe vera gels.
