http://www.jossip.com/That little rift at Live 8 between Madonna and Mariah Carey we told you about yesterday actually seems to have some roots, and not the ones Madge usually sprouts from her neglected dye job.
This rivalry is actually a longstanding one -- it stretches back to '95, when Mariah was nothing if not a hit-making robot and Madonna was struggling to move units (regardless of enjoying the longest running No. 1 of her career earlier that year). Supposedly, Madonna revealed during an interview that she'd kill herself if she were Mariah (paraphrasing here), a sour-grapes comment on Mariah's work-horsiness. Mariah hit back with a gem of a soundbite
and the video is available on FourFour, which features Mariah in 1995 saying, "I really haven't paid attention to Madonna since like 7th or 8th grade when she used to be popular."
And welcome back to the realm of relevance yourself, Mariah. (via)
http://www.nydailynews.com/news/gossip/story/325934p-278372c.htmlHow many situps does it take to get a sexy six-pack like the one Mariah Carey showed off during Macy's fireworks on Monday? None!
Mariah's rep claims the songbird's new chiseled torso is the result of "eating right and working out 3 hours a day with her personal trainer," but I just scooted uptown to Faux Glow on Madison Ave. and got myself some insta-abs.
For $75, Faux Glow technicians will paint on abs with a spray gun for pain-free (and instant) chiseling, under the theory that shadows can create the same look as actual muscles. That's a little less than one session with a trainer - and a lot less than liposuction.
Jeani used a spray gun to shoot a stream of frigid color at my stomach, expertly creating contours meant to mimic the look of a real six-pack. Could this be the answer to the tiresome crunch? Well, at least for 7-10 days.
