3. MTV was already in the crapper.
There are some who haven't seen it at all, but the majority of us that were interested have already seen it. And, when we saw it, we could switch from city to city ourselves instead of waiting.

Plus, MTV has long found its way to the crapper. This just confirmed it.

Siberia--or at least nursery school. God, the 15 minutes I actually watched still has me cursing!

I don't get VH1, but the MTV coverage today was what it SHOULD have been all along.

6. They are (moderately) redeemed.
I am still kinda peeved about the fact that it took getting ripped by critics and seeing negative comments on their sites to do this. I also think I got madder today, seeing all the stuff I actually missed because of their retarded coverage.

I was informed that the year the original Live Aid aired on MTV they did show full performances, and there was very little 'vj talk/spin and interviews.' What possessed them to do anything LESS than that this time?

They will be completely redeemed when I have a totally uncut, uncensored dvd set in my hot little hands!
:woohoo:

7. They went into the crapper the minute they stopped playing complete
videos. :eyes:

I remember in 98 or 99, in college watching as they celebrated their one millionth video or some such, and thinking "well, yeah, but you only show the first minute of each video now-days!"

I haven't watched since then, but I imagine that they still suck. :eyes:
