28 Days Later
This movie is proof that we need private ownership of guns, even assault weapons.

1. I disagree.
28 Days Later, like Signs, shows that having no guns makes for a much more enjoyable and interesting experience.

3. Why do we need it?
Edited on Tue Nov-04-03 12:13 AM by FDRrocks
I'm anti-gun control... in that I think we need rifles, for the hunters, and assault rifles to fuck up the national guard when this country reaches the end of the path it seems to be headed.

But I am pro-gun control in that I don't want my neighbor having a gatling gun, and I want it to be a PITA for anyone to pass the requirments to buy one.

edit: Gun control in 28 days? The army housed them! For crissakes. It took place on the English isle as well. I could just as easily say Iraq is the reason gun control doesn't disturb democracy at all. Why? B/C there were shitloads of AK-47's everywhere, yet they had a fascist government. Although a bit back I read Iraqis lived 80% better than other ME peoples. That was probably just a reflection of thier natural resources.

7. Those fuckers were fast.
But it is well known that when someone dies.... they are dead, they don't run around and eat people.

6. What was the alternate ending?
The title is OT. I am a believer in the state militia, seperate of the military, and answering to a sort of JAG.

14. Too bad the military was just as fucked up as the zombies
And, as I remember, the guns didn't keep them safe from the zombies for long. Them zombies just kept coming and coming and coming......

11. Yes, we must have assault weapons when the zombies come.
I played a zombie-killing video game recently, and putting in two tokens and shooting two-gun-John-Woo-style is MUCH more effective in the dispatching of the undead.

12. Movie scared the crap outta me
...but if I recall, guns didn't save them. Too many of the f--kers. The only time I would want a gun is to use it on myself in that situation- I do NOT want to die like those people did...:scared:

15. Laugh all you want now
BUT when the zombies come marching down YOUR street, you won't be so happy-go-lucky!

To those with a more somber perspective on the growing zombie threat, may I suggest the following:
The Zombie Survival Guide: Complete Protection from the Living Dead

A great read, very informative and ESSENTIAL to surviving the hard times ahead.

16. When guns are zombified
... only zombies will have guns!

Yes, I'm confused too. "In case of zombies / aliens" really isn't a good pro-gun stance :P
