I lived in Oxford long ago and visited London frequently when there were many, many, sandbags behind the frontage walls of many buildings during all the IRA troubles. I never feared a thing and owe that in part to youthful hubris coupled with the intoxicating indomitable spirit of that lovely berg. Look forward to going back again.

I was born after the collapse of the Sunningdale Agreement, and I grew up in Oxford. When you grow up with terrorism; you become immunised to its effects. Of course, you mourn the dead, but we're not terrorised. I hope they don;t return, but if they do - I've seen what my city is capable of.
