How 'bout them BRONCOS?
HA HA HAHA HAHA HA HAHAHAHAHA!

HA HA!

Actualy they seemed to be the better team for much of the game, but still found a way to home in on another big fat L.

Good game. I REALLY enjoyed it :)

1. That would be four 'L's in a row, correct?

9. They were?
It's sad that could only beat an injured and beat up team by 4 points and losing for most of the game.

12. Injured and beat up?
I thought those were the terms to describe the Pats.

Granted, the Pats did not play their best game last night. Too many stupid penalties and turn-overs.

But they were also down an important defensive lineman (and a receiver if I'm not mistaken).

13. Trust me
The Broncos had alot more key players injured then the Patriots, the Broncos has their two best PRO BOWL linebackers injured, their second best wide reciever, their kicker which definately played a role in the decision making, their starting and back-up QB. If anyone was injured and beat up it was the Broncos, they also had a starting defensive and offensive lineman injured as well.

24. Are you kidding?
Missing from NE:
Two best linebackers (Ted Washington, Ted Johnson)
Two best DLinemen (Roosevelt Colvin, Richard Seymour)
4 pro-bowl players.
(not to mention the loss of the defensive captain and pro-bowl safety lawyer milloy a couple of days before the season started.

Both of these teams were decimated by injury. The Broncos managed to suck beyond reason in the 2nd half and gave this game away. Shanahan made some very questionable calls at the end of the game and the Patriots took advantage.

The Pats injured list contained 10 starters (some played). That's half the starting lineup. The patriots have been by far the hardest hit team in the league in terms of injury and have still managed to continue winning against tough opponents (and on the road).

Don't make excuses for the absolutely horrible performance by the team. Danny Kanell has an excuse (hadn't played in a couple of years, was out of football, etc) but the rest of the team are expected to step into the roles and play.

6. You're just jealous cuase deep down you know
they outplayed your Chefs a few weeks ago and but for the heroics of Dante, your perfect season would be over.

Denver has shown a lot and would no doubt be contending for the Superbowl if it weren't for all the damn injuries. My boys are dropping like flies. We've been bit by the injury bug big time this year. It's not too late to salvage the playoffs if we can get healthy over the bye-week, but we definitely could use a break.

8. They were the better team
New England managed to win against a team that didn't have their kicker(affected game, twice they punted it instead of kicking a field goal), their starting quarterback, their second best reciever, and two best linebackers.

10. I think it would have been better for the Chiefs if Denver had won
Denver, which isn't going anywhere anyway in an uncharacteristically weak AFC Western Division, is now 5-4. Had Denver won, even at 6-3 they'd be three games behind KC in the loss column, as would New England. Now New England is 7-2, and probably entertaining memories of 2001. And winning in Mile High gives the Patriots some added momentum and incentive heading into their bye week.

Looking over the remainder of Kansas City's schedule, the game in Denver is probably the biggest test they'll have to face the rest of the year, though they could stumble anytime -- this is the Chiefs we're talking about, after all.

But still, watching Denver lose is always sweet. At home. On Monday night.

11. Also I bet watching them lose
Without their two best linebackers, their starting quarterback, their kicker(which played a role, instead of kicking a field goal in two instances they punted), and their second best wide reciever. I am surprised a team like New England struggled to only beat them by 4 points.

14. Need a crying towel, VermontDem?
I haven't used mine all season: Chiefs 8-0, Linfield 7-0!

Injuries are part of the game, and at the conclusion of the season, nobody asks how a team won, just how many it won.

15. I know
But my point is the 3 out of 4 loses came because of key injuries. It has nothing to do with a crying towel, I am just stating facts. But I am sure no team in the NFL has more key injuries then the Broncos but I have no need to worry, the Broncs have a bye week and Plummer, Mobley, McAffery, Elam, and two other players will be ready to play for San Diego. :)

20. They will because they have
McAffery, Plummer, Mobley, Elam, Salaam, and others returning. Too bad their best linebacker Ian Gold is gone for the season but so many key injuries hurt the Bronc's chances against New England last night. You also must remember that each game they lost they were never out of it so they didn't do to bad.

18. You also forgot to mention
That for most of the game the Broncos didn't have McAffery, Gold, Mobley, Plummer, Buerlien, Salaam, Elam, as well as others. Plus the Broncos have had a winning record since Elway so they are no where near second tier.
