Poll question: Rod Stewart |
|
Yes I know I didn't cover all possibilities, nor put on Other. Also some of these aren't mutually exclusive. However, the ever-popular Reply function still operates, and very well by all accounts.:)

1. I give him credit for doing an album of standards |
|
and not trying to act like he is still a kid like some of his contemporaries.

I'm 53 and I still act like a kid. I do - because I can.

a fine example of a misgynistic old prick abandoning all his responsibilities once he's shot his load.

I like him fine, but apparently only up to shortly after the Faces period, since I stopped paying attention to anything he did after Tonight's The Night (or whatever that album was called.)
I don't know if he should have retired; I'm told he still puts on a good show.

10. Embarrassed to admit that I know what that album's called 'cause I bought |
|
it at the time. (Big Renoir fan, that's it. That's the ticket!) A Night on the Town.
I'm pretty much with you; he's been pretty easy to ignore for decades, though I did like one of his discoish numbers somewhat, Young Turks.

that's it. I had it too, when it was new. I knew there was a "Night" in the title, but I also pretty much knew my guess was one of the songs, rather than the title.
thanks

unless you heard it somewhere else before, then I want details.

I heard one, but then I heard the same story with two other rock stars, so I'm just wondering if your detailed UL is the same as mine.

And failing that, ought to have quit at the earliest opportunity. He is on my least favorites list, right up with Elton John and Bobby Goldsboro....

Until I saw him in concert this past April. He puts on a really good show. Just about every song he sang I found myself saying, "I love this song!"

And he is just doing what he loves to do. I don't understand why people like to suggest that once a person is over 30 they should stop doing anything.
