Poll question: MSGoogle? Is This A Good Idea?
Google is the ONLY search engine I use anymore. I'd hate to see it taken over by Microsoft. (The rest of them suck. Popups, Flash ads, too many graphics. All trying to be too-many-things for too-many-people.)

2. goddamn microshit!
they bought hotmail, they ruined it.

EVERYTHING they touch turns to CRAP.

The Bin-Laden family is part owner of Microshit. I just mention that in passing...

4. I think not. But, I think Google would prefer
to remain independent and post an IPO of its own. Most of the tech publications seem to think this is pretty likely. I don't think, in other words, this is likely to happen unless Google fails miserably in attempting an independent offering of stock.

they have gotten too powerful. There is a website dedicated to questioning Google. I don't have the address now but their cache is just one issue:

http://www.geek.com/news/geeknews/2003Jul/gee20030711020791.htm

another good article: http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/11.01/google_pr.html

Another Google watch (different than the one I linked below): http://www.watchinggooglelikeahawk.com/archive2.html

6. Google told MS to get stuffed
I read yesterday where they said they have no intention of selling to Microsoft. Good news all around!
