Have you ever mistaken a gay person for a straight person...
It seems in college every woman I talked to whom I thought was straight, told me they were lesbians.....

2. I know because so many of them turned out to be
the marrying kind, as in hetro....

Most of the women who told me they were gay are happily married,,,,

I wonder what made them switch like that....

I thought you were born gay....

8. Actually, the term L.U.G. rose to prominence during my college years...
...that would be the mid-nineties. I'm not sure I've met one though, because I lose touch with people so I don't know if they're still.

Go Dean!

5. What a coincidence!
99% of the women I've spoken to in my life told me that they were lesbians.

Hey! Wait a minute.

10. Yo sir, are playing with my emotions....
I know they were all lesbians because Mr. Scorpio told me all college women toyed with the idea of being lesbians.....

however, I think that is a new phenomena....

Back in the 70's, all the gays were safely in the closet....

So I must have done a world of good, letting all those women admit to being gay before it was a good thing....

14. Nope, not kidding
And yup, dispicable. I've even done it myself on occasion when I had an agreeable friend. We'd hug up on each other and tell the guy to leave my woman alone.

13. SEVERAL MEN THAT
I liked came out eventually, one while still in college, which took a lot of courage back in the 70's. Another, a very good friend of mine that I thought was straight but wanted to be "just friends" with me, was out when I saw him again 20 years later.

24. The most fun boyfriend I had turned out to be gay...I was 20 and naive
Edited on Mon Jul-18-05 09:39 PM by BleedingHeartPatriot
He and I would seek out the best restaurants, shop at our favorite stores and attend classic film festivals.

I just couldn't understand why we didn't kiss or have any kind of physical contact. As I said, I was naive.

He finally came out because his partner was getting perturbed about the time he was spending with me (I thought they were room mates)

However, he was one of the favorite people I "dated" during my single years. MKJ

edited to add: and he was drop dead gorgeous!

26. There's a joke in here, like from a 70's Woody Allen movie.
I did once seriously date a woman who told me she was heterosexual but she was in fact a lesbian.

It didn't work out.

On the up side, the whole event led me to get some therapy on the question of my search for unreachable women. I've been married for 20 happy years.

27. yes
I have a very stereotypically masculine friend, whom all the girls absolutely adored. No one had any idea that he was gay other than the fact he refused to sleep with the girls he dated.

I knew him for 3 years before he came out. I was shocked, but i'm happy because now he can be himself.
