a progressing problem...

I'm going to have a CT scan shortly anyway...

6. I just read stroke symptoms... I don't qualify.
Edited on Mon Jul-18-05 08:33 PM by HypnoToad
No headache. Not on one side of the body... and another condition can explain some of what is going on. (blood pressure is normal too despite a slightly high pulse)

But I will keep it in mind...

4. Go to the ER NOW!
And ask them for the shot that stops the damaging effects. Please, my Mom had a stroke 5 years ago and she suffered so until she passed away June 7th. Go!!! What do you have to lose a little time? What do you have to gain? A LOT!!

7. Don't drive, call 911 NOW
strokes don't always follow the playbook...you could be having a stroke, TIA or even a heart attack with these symptoms, ESPECIALLY if you are also in denial (this is common among patients that are having a heart attack or stroke)

Call 911 now

11. Post #8 makes more sense given causality... While I do know that
I have a weak heart, my pulse is normal. Rapid pulse is a byproduct of a stroke or heart attack.

13. OK, never mind, you know best
Now sign this refusal of transport form and remember, you can always call 911 if you have any more problems and we will come back and take you to the hospital if you change your mind.

9. That could be on the right path; I do have some related problems there...
Including one I went into surgery for 6 months ago because of a problem that'd been there for well over a year that everyone else said "is just anxiety". I want those 'practitioners' to end up bankrupt and rotting in the streets in the most miserable pain. (that's ONLY how I feel. I keep my feelings and my actions separate. Always have. Always will.)

But like I've told people, we've to enjoy each day as much as we can. There may be no more. I also know my time is coming; this could very well be another step in that direction.

14. If you don't feel that you need to go to the ER at least call your MD
tomorrow in case they want to add some tests to the CT you're having. I really hope all is well and it is just a nerve flare up..the buckling legs is what is worrying me the most.
