Nut of the day
(oh, I'm sure this will attact all kinds of responses)

Anyway, I'm adding nuts to my noontime salad to make it more filling and since nuts are a "good" fat, a handful here and there shouldn't hurt.

Yesterday it was macademia. VERY YUM!

Today, it's pistacios. Also yum!

Tomorrow, maybe almonds.....

1. Try the almonds..
toast them a bit first. How about some pecans or walnuts? I've had them in spinach salad, along with oranges. A bit odd,but good:)

2. I'm one of the lucky ones
I have an almond tree, a pecan tree and a walnut tree in my yard.

The almonds are ready in the summer, the walnuts in the fall and the pecans in the winter.

One of the benefits of living in central California.

8. Walnuts have omega 3 stuff. Is it fatty acids? That just looks so wrong.
We eat fatty acids!

But, it might be good news for folks who don't like salmon or tuna or mackerel.
