HDTV making it tough on celebs
ATLANTA - Those lips, those eyes, those ... craters.

Yes, those glamorous images of flawless celebrities and newscasters beaming into your television are being unmasked by technology.

High-definition television - which is projected to beam into almost 7 million U.S. households in 2005 - is offering more than crystalline images of sunsets and seascapes. It's revealing every blemish, crow's foot, mole and gray hair that was previously undetected. And personalities who make a living off their looks are in a panic.

Makeup artists may be turning to Benjamin Moore instead of L'Oreal to conceal the flaws on the seemingly flawless.

"You're talking about celebrities who have spent their lives trying to look perfect," said Washington-based Phillip Swan, who runs the television news Web site TVPredictions.com. "Along comes this camera peeking around the curtain and it's scaring these people to death."

4. I've got HDTV
And I watch the morning news, and I can see the female meteorologist has been out drinking most of the night. I thought she wore glasses, but it was the bags under her eyes!
