You know what? I think that about alot of religious myths! However, once I get started on DU, I either get my posts removed, moved to the bottom of the religious forum, flamed....etc.
My personal favorite practical religious joke is the mormons- ;)

10. I agree with you about the size of the donation. |
|
Frankly I'm surprised how little he's given. HOWEVER, I think he should be applauded for giving in the first place.

6. Good for Tom! I'm glad he's on our team.... |

and could care less about his religous beliefs. This country was founded upon freedom of religion after all.

At $20M/picture, he doesn't seem to be on my team.

15. Every time a Cruise thread comes up |
|
We're reminded of his donations. I am still not impressed.
I think the money he gives to Scientology more than offsets the good any money he gives the Dems.
No thanks, Tom. Keep your cult and you mental illness to yourself.

16. I didn't know about his political donations |
|
that what's shocked me; how can he give money to progressives, and yet be such a fruitloop?
It makes no sense.
Shit; ever since Shrub was Selected, not much has made sense to me.

17. That would be relevant if his politics were ever called into question |
|
Edited on Tue Jul-19-05 12:26 PM by primate1
I try to avoid most Cruise threads now, but when I actually did read them, nobody made mention of Cruise's politics aside from the people who felt the need to defend him by pointing out "see, he's a Dem, he can't be a bad guy!"
It's not his politics that are in question. It's the validity of his beliefs and the possible negative repercussions of his little "war on psychiatry".
Just sayin' is all.
