I don't do surveys or polls that do not allow for variable answers. It's akin to the "When did you stop beating your wife?" question. It's obvious that whomever developed this poll believes there is no middle ground on any of the topics offered.
Example: abortion. My personal belief is that it is wrong as a means of birth control as well as in other instances wherein it is performed for the convemience of the mother. I also believe that the choice of whether or not to abort is none of the government's business. It is overwhelmingly the business of the mother and father in many cases. She/they need to make that decision and live with it. I find it hard to believe that anyone can be either universally for or against all abortions. Am I wishy-washy - lukewarm - not at all. There are no stock answers to this or many other issues. Case merit is a prime determining factor.
I was truly hoping for an objective survey.

9. I've done this in the past, and I'm really down in that left hand corner. |
|
If that's the really socialist liberal area. If it's the compass I'm thinking of, I'm like a -7, -7.

This is for all those posters who flame me night and day, falsely accusing me of being some kind of secret right-winger Freeper whenever I pose a contrarian viewpoint for the purposes of fleshing-out debate. Turns out I'm farther to the Left then my critics! This little compass test restores my self-esteem and makes me wonder just what other liberals have against me at DU. In real life, I never incur such accusations. Anyway, piece sine is:
Economic Left/Right: -9.75 Libertarian/Authoritarian: -8.87
Take that, flamers!
