I just got home from seeing Revolutions... *NO spoilers*
I saw it. I liked it.

Screw the critics, they have no idea what they're talking about.

It was definately better than Reloaded.

In fairness though, some of the scenes did seem a bit tacked on...

still, the overall effect of the film was good.

Anyone else seen it and wanna give their 2 cents on whether they liked it?

1. Almost any movie would be better than "Reloaded", that is not
saying much. Were the special effects better. "Reloaded" had some pretty bad special effects.

2. Were the FX better?
Yes.

It does have some really beautiful scenes in it.

Thankfully bullet-time is less used in this than in Reloaded.

Not that I dislike bullet-time, but Revolutions was ridiculous with the amount they used it. Revolutions uses it too, though I feel, to better effect than Reloaded.

5. Yeah
There wasn't enough fast motion in reloaded.... as I recall there wasn't any except when the agent dodges the bullets.

At least the original matrix had many more instances of super-speed.

I cream my pants when the agent is beating up Neo in the subway station in super-fast mode.

3. Special effects were very nice
I couldn't tell where the computer animations of Keanu began and ended, unlike ReLoaded... oh wait... you mean he wasn't computer simulated through the *entire* movie this time?

After that I felt like I was watching a bad comic book.
And I like comic books.
The plot seemed almost Disneyesque... just add a "faithful dog" scene...

There were no surprises.
(though the actor who did the "meat" Mr. Smith did a great job)
The "tension" seemed contrived.
And there were no good "scary robots" this time.

Truth be told, it felt like the 50 or 60 people in the theater with me were as bored with it as I was.

I only hope that Return of the King doesn't suck as bad as this.

I think the critics who gave it a C- were being generous.

After all was said and done, it was an insipid ending to a promising trilogy.

Hate away.

4. I'm looking forward to it
I don't care what the Jane Austen set and the fanboys have to say.
