Directed at babies, I think it's sweet, although I would recommend talking normal to them just as often, if not more.
Directed at me because the child is around, ugh. Hate it. One of my neighbors does that, she has a babe and a toddler, and so if they are next to her she uses her baby voice while talking to other adults. Ugh ugh ugh ugh ugh.

kinda go in to the "baby talk-voice"..but if I'm talking to a baby I don't go "goo goo gah gah boo boo blah blah"..but I might go "hi babe-ee..hello babe-ee..what a cute little babe-ee"...haha.. :+

Then again though, I've never been around many babies in my life thusfar.
