Naked Man Shot, Crashes Squad Car Into Bus
<snip>

PHILADELPHIA --A police officer shot a naked man who then took off in the officer's police vehicle and crashed into a bus in downtown Philadelphia during Tuesday's afternoon rush hour, authorities said.

The officer noticed the man walking around 9th and Market streets around 5 p.m. and the two got into an altercation, authorities said. The officer shot the man after he was attacked, police said.

After being shot, the suspect jumped in the officer's police vehicle and fled, eventually striking a New Jersey Transit bus a block away.

The man and the officer were both taken to the hospital. Their identities and information on their conditions were not immediately released.
