Period. Actually fighting is probably the safest aspect of Hockey, at least relative to getting checked against the boards by a 220 pounder.

It's hillarious to watch the players hit each other in the helmet and pads with a bare fist. That's gotta smart!

when it gets excessive (fights after every puck drop such as any Rangers vs. Flyers Game) it bothers me. But I have been noticing fewer and fewer fights in the NHL of late. Especially in the playoffs

14. if you don't like fighting watch the playoffs

there is no fighting in playoff hockey. Penalties are too costly and teams seldom use the fourth line more than once or twice a game to give everyone a breather.

Where would we be without Ty Domi, Jay Miller, PJ Stock, Marty McSorlly, Donald Brasheer, Matthew Barnaby, Chris Nilan, Lyndon Byars, Chris King, and Bob Probert et al beating eachother senseless?
