Due to something I posted on another site, I got some VERY racist emails from someone on AOL. They weren't threatening or anything, but it was clear this person was trying to get a rise out of me. (Didn't happen. Her insults barely rose above elementary school level. Why can't racists at least be original?)
In any case, I'm wondering if anyone knows how to figure out a person's identity based on email alone. (Like I said, it's AOL.) I'd kind of like to scare this person just a little, though I'm not sure how yet. Nothing dangerous or anything, maybe just calling her out (I think it's a her) on the board where this happened, a little public humiliation is always good for this sort of stuff.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

what little age i have (i'm 30) has taught me to take the high road. people lashing out likely won't learn a lesson regardless of the anonymity issue.

It would be delicious to expose this chick, and I could always argue that it is up to all of us to fight racism when we encounter it....but who am I kidding.
To the poster below, thanks for the AOL tip, but the username didn't come up. I did figure out from the email header what town she's in, though...heh. Now I'm on a mission.
Edited to add, in all seriousness, part of the reason I want to do this is because I don't think this woman is the sort you would ordinarily peg as a racist. Her first email to me was quite coherent, only mildly offensive, and not racist. I think she's a white collar professional type, and I don't think these are views she would express outside the safety of anonymous email. I think she would be quite embarrassed to have people know she wrote this stuff. (This happened on a community board, so it's likely someone she knows will see it.)
I don't know any of this for sure, obviously, but my gut tells me so.
