I always wait too long before putting morons on ignore.
Why the hell do I do that anyway? Day after day, reading the same idiotic comments from the same idiotic poster who hates one particular candidate. Never posts anything positive about his candidate, just attacks my candidate.

Why the hell did I subject myself to that moron for week after week before finally putting the dumbass on ignore? I must be a glutton for punishment.

1. I just put my first person on ignore today, and I will probably have to
add a couple more to that list. I hated to do that, but it is not worth my sanity to read anymore of the vitrol that is spewed out from some posters.

2. I hate doing it.
I mean, someday, that person might actually make a good point about something, and I'd miss it. Unfortunately, it isn't worth wading through all the bullshit to find it.

3. Maybe after the nominee is finally picked will I consider un-ignoring
posters. Until then, ignorance will have to be bliss from those posters. LOL

4. I don't know how anyone can stand the candidate bashing
I'm still basically undecided, although I like a couple of the candidates, probably the main 2 camps that fight the most on DU. I couldn't take that crap every day. Just today, I posted some good outlooks for the Dem in PA vs. Bush next year. It got ignored in the Politics forum, while meanwhile the Dean is a meanie and Clark is a Republican and Kucinich is the only real Democrat threads all have 1000 posts. It's just tiresome.

6. I agree.
It's obvious who I support, and I've supported him for nearly a year. But I don't go around digging up dirt on Kerry or Clark or sit around GD all day just waiting to bad mouth them.

7. I agree, some threads I have posted that I thought were a bit more
important then flame bait get ignored while the flame threads just keep piling those post #'s up. It is sad, but we have to accept that will happen and keep posting threads that we feel are important.

Never give up hope! :hi:

5. I usually figure they'll be banned
and more often than not I'm right.

I stay out of candidate bashing threads all together so I only have 2 people on ignore, both for starting tons of threads the very titles of which raise my blood pressure.

11. Not always - that is the only reason I use ignore
Been here more than two years now and have disovered that some people never change. Some I wonder about their sanity as no one ever seems to agree with them here. Why do they stay? After watching them pick apart pet threads and assail every poster with pointless arguements, I have had to put two people on ignore and I'm considering a third, who I rarely tangle with but who, after two years, is still spewing the same b.s. every time I come across him.

Who needs it. I fought using ignore because I thought I would miss too much but it has made hanging out here much more enjoyable. When I come across an ignored post, I know who it likely is and their opinion doesn't matter to me anyway. Plus, I don't get drawn into the trap of feeling like I have to respond to their idiocy.

10. I've bashed Dems before, LOTS.
When they approved the use of force, when they all screamed 'under God' after the Pledge decision, when Zell Miller voted with the pukies time after time after time and then announced for Bush in 2004. But I don't make a career out of it.:)
