Poll question: HANNUKWANZMAS TREES: Help me decide;
Check out the LOVELY tree I've found...
http://www.webechristmas.com/cat.asp?cid=241&pid=924

Not terribly expensive, considering I usually spend about $70 on a real tree anyhoo. Soooo, here I could not buy into the hype anymore, and over the long run, save a few dollars.

Which should I choose, and WHY? Pros and Cons please.

1. My family's solution
A couple of years ago, I bought a Norfolk Island pine in a pot. It's our holiday tree every year. It's grown to about 6 feet tall now, and it's still in a pot.

9. I tend to kill things that grow in pots for
some reason.

I have a LOVELY yard and garden, so long as it's in the ground. In a pot, at my place, it dies.

4. Get the artificial tree.................
I bought an artificial tree 20 years ago and I still use the same one. It still looks great, it serves the purpose, and in that time there are 20 more trees on the planet because of it.

5. $70 on a holiday tree?
Are you serious? Where do you live? I'm in MA and we generally spend $25 on a live tree every year.

Even at $70, a big part of the reason we have a tree (we're both atheists in my household) is for the aroma of the tree.

11. Easy way around the cost.
Steal one from a golf course. Make sure it's not a public course. Find a very exclusive country club and you won't even feel bad about stealing it.

10. Artificial tree
It's an expense you don't have to have every year. Plus you can put it up earlier and keep it up longer. You have more time to enjoy your decorations, IOW. That's very cool.

12. Um...I think its a YULEHannukwanzmas tree.
I try not to buy real ones unless they still have the roots, and I can plant them later.

Obviously, I haven't had a real tree in quite a few years due to the cost. Nor, for that matter, a fake one. I have a little fake one about 8 inches tall. I guess since Dari is older, we'll need a tree. Thanks for reminding me. (sarcasm)
