Poll question: Which TV Couple Reminds You The Most Of Your Own Relationship? |
|
Edited on Tue Jul-26-05 09:38 AM by arwalden
Which one do you most relate to?
For me and Mike... it's definitely the Buchmans. One of the reasons we enjoyed watching Mad About You was because of all the similarities we had with dynamics of the couple--as well as some of the dialog, arguments, and situations they found themselves in.

2. I always thought Bob and Emily Hartley had a great TV marriage |
|
No precocious kids, just two adults on equal footing.
We have the 'no kids' part DOWN.

3. Larry and Cheryl David |

from Curb Your Enthusiasm. I'm Larry; she's Cheryl. Those of you who watch the show will understand; the rest of you, well, it would take some explaining.

16. yep, and no one else would put up with me. |

Well, I like to think I'm not quite as bad as Larry. I'm a little better at keeping quiet in the situations that tend to get him in trouble.

(Even though my gf and I split up a few months ago).
Larry and Cheryl always reminded me of me and her.
In another 30 years or so, I fear that I am going to become Larry David.

This is going to sound silly, but...honestly, Monica and Chandler from "Friends". A couple, very much in love. No arguments or problems.
That's the only non-disfunctional television couple I could think of. :-)
btw: it's not a stupid poll.

Actually, Chandler was my favorite among the male cast. Phoebe was my favorite of all of them.
Doug is more like Monica in the sense of being so perfectly in control. :-)

She should have been the one to get a spin-off instead of Joey.

With shades of Hank and Peggy Hill.
On edit: best I can do before the first cup of coffee. I might change my mind later.
