Is this Rock Star INXS show rigged or what?
Edited on Tue Jul-26-05 09:53 PM by Strawman
They have to take on the winner of the competition as their lead singer and this one guy, MiG, is really good and the rest of the people would have a hard time winning a karaoke contest at a corner bar. I have to suspect they had to have went into this knowing they had a ringer in the contest. People get to vote, but the band gets to choose who gets eliminated each week among the three lowest vote getters. It's not even close. What a joke.

1. Not following closely. That's the bald guy?
He's eons above the others imho.

Though a few others are better than OK.

Most are something you'd see at an Open Mic night...

...when the bar next door has Free Beer.

I guess I didn't see MiG then.

4. I didn't think the mohawk guy was that good

But he is probably the next best one. That We Are the Champions guy was god awful.

5. Actually, he was excellent every week up until he did that song.
He screwed up by selecting that song: it wasn't right for his voice at all, then on top of that, he got intimidated by it. On all his previous songs, I thought he showed that he has a good voice, as well as a good stage presence. For two of the songs, he rearranged them so they'd be more rocking and more suited to the strengths of his voice. That impressed the band. I also think Ty has an excellent voice.

I really don't think any of them have been consistently awful. Actually, I can't believe I've been watching and enjoying the show so much; since the early days of "The Real World," I have never even looked at a "reality show."
