I almost book our new DC hotel room in a place with a private repuke club
I'm trying to get another hotel room for DC where it's more affordable for others to stay at but I also want to get a suite. I found this place and this is was in the review about the hotel from frommers:

http://www.frommers.com/destinations/washingtondc/H26816.html
Guests, no matter their political leanings, have privileges to dine at the Capitol Hill Club, a members-only club for Republicans, and can charge their meals and drinks to their hotel bill

I'm still looking for a room, but the price of the hotel is great and hell, we could have fun with idea of going into a repuke members-only club that we get with staying at the hotel.

2. The price for the suites are like $149-$179 a night
and they said that regardless of our political affliation we would be allowed in the members only club. I'd be wearing my "Axis of Evil" DU sweatshirt :bounce:

3. Take the room and plant "bugs" EVERYWHERE.
Take a good tape recorder and sensitive listening equipment.

Report back.

5. It looks like a great location, too!
I wonder if there's a dress code for the club though. :evilfrown:

7. Yeah, club or not, it sounds like a good location.
Very accessible to the mall, where I'm guessing the march would be.

8. Yep, the protest starts at the Washington Monument which is 10 blocks away
I took it, it's actually part of the SHeraton hotel chain and I got the middle line suites which can actually sleep 6 but they have a small room for about $20 less.

I loved the Carlyle Suites but the price was just too much for others who are looking for a relatively inexpensive place to stay. $149 for a room is a great price.

10. The room actually sleeps 6, so we could still fit you for now
Unless we find out some other DUers are in the area and want to share with you.

BTW, the hotel is part of the Starwood Group (SHeraton) which btw, is 100% blue http://www.buyblue.org/detail.php?corpId=86

Good enough for me
