If other, please post.

I don't listen to them only for the message.

Most of my favorite bands are leftist. I don't know if that is a subconscious choice or if leftists are just better!

Probably the latter!

23. Gang of Four....
Hello from Germany!

'cause real leftists know that the form is the message, the form is political, much more than the content.Although the content can be left, too. I hate mainstream rock with "left" lyrics. If I'm hardcore, I listen to the Pop Group.
Don't beat me, but I think most U.S. people have problems, understating bands like the Gang of Four:-)

When I was in my mother’s womb
Social structure seemed a simple thing
After birth I cursed my luck
Then went down to breakfast

What I know fills me up
It is an everlasting cup
What I believe will never change
My consolation for the night

Mother had for me an egg
I understood the relations of production
She always provided for me
That’s where I lost my naivety
Stability is in my mind
I associate with my kind
Charity, it fills my heart
To help the poor in africa

Good, yes, you’ve done well
Here is a small prize
The history of the world
Good, yes, you’ve done well
Here is a small prize
The history of the world

31. RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE
HOW can their be a more politically loaded band than RAGE?

look up thier lyrics for any of the following songs and you will see how freakin far to the left they are...

Testify
Freedom
Vietnow
Mic Check
Bullet in the Head
Township Rebellion
Killing in the name of...
Wake up
Know your enemy

or any of thier original songs, and quite a bit of thier covers too.

that and Tom Morello is possibly the most innovative guitarist in today's music the whole turntable-ish sound he pulls outta his ibenez and teles... one of the reasons i own a guitar.

Tim Commerford is probably the best living bassist for rock...

Brad wilk with the driving drums...

and Zach De La Rocha is just sheer energy and, for lack of a better word... rage.

peace

Of the options I'll take Anti-Flag.
