1. well, I suppose lots of ways... |
|
exercise, getting outdoors, yoga, mediation...
But for me, nothing beats hugging on a warm pup (adult or otherwise, dogs rule for the unconditional love they give)! Try hugging on one and hanging onto your anger-- just can't happen...

What will happen is that your body will release a neurotransmitter called endorphins. What are endorphins?
Endorphines is the stuff that makes you happy. When a person takes ecstacy, the body releases endorphins into the body. These will keep you happy and increase your self-esteem.
The only difference between working out and ecstacy is that working releases the endorphins naturally. Ecstacy depletes your body of endorphins. If you take too much ecstacy, you will run out of endorphins and lose any sense of elation for the rest of your life.

the best natural ways to relieve stress are the following:
1. an intense workout weight and cardio 2. a nice big healthy meal (take your time eating and digesting) 3. 10 hours of sleep
Those are the three ways your body most effectively eliminates the overly damaging corticosteroids, adrenaline, and other stress hormones that linger in your body with stress.

Absent the opportunity for something more exciting, I use exercise to relieve stress. If I can't get to a gym when I'm feeling stressed, even a walk seems to help. Only thing that works in the long run is trying to remove the cause of stress but there are some things you have to live with in the short run, such as Dubya.

Its well known that repetitive prayers are considerd "mind savers" that is, through the ages, opppressed and suffering people have fled to them in order to find peace of mind and save their sanity. If said in conjuction with watchful breathing the effect can be extremely calming and even joyful as the prayers can be offered for special intentions. Excellent for insomnia, also. Good luck!
