By the time Katharine Hepburn and Barry White had died, I realized: Why are all these celebrities dying?
Mr. Rogers, both of the Cashes, Bob Hope, Hume Cronyn, David Brinkley, Strom Thurmond*, John Ritter, Lester Maddox*, Maynard Jackson, Gregory Peck, Hepburn, White, and now Bobby Hatfield. Ironically, half of those I mentioned died within a month of each other in June and July. And I'm sure I'm missing a few.
(*Can be seen as infamous)

3. Strom Thurmond is dead? |

It seemed like yesterday he turned 100 and finally retired from the Senate.
Another in the (in)famous category: Dr. Edward Teller.

there's always a celebrity rush to the door around the holidays too. By the time we watching the Oscars'Orbitury Tribute there will be plenty more. This year with Kate and Hope both gone, they are sure to gush bigtime.
But can you believe Louise Rainer is still alive.

2. Not only famous, but they are GOOD people...... |
|
in terms of being assets and role models in our society
It's like an entire generation of the good people are just checking out. And that makes perfect sense -- we are on the threshold of some very dire times, and that generation already did 'their time' with WW2, Korea, and Vietnam.
They are leaving the world and the job is now our generation to confront the evil. It sure would be nice if we had some real heros and leaders .........

6. Well....famous wrestlers have died this year as well... |
|
...such as Road Warrior Hawk, Stu Hart (Bret and Owen Hart's dad), The British Bulldog, Crash Holly just died today, Yokozuna, and a few others (forgot at the moment.) I dunno....with all these famous people dying, one has to wonder if it's the end of the world...? (sorry, been studying philosophy tonight)
