Edited on Thu Nov-06-03 10:28 PM by Supply Side Jesus
Book 11 comes out January 6th!

Yes, a meer 14 months after Crossroads of Twilight the new installment in the greatest Fantasy epic (IMHO) is released to the eager fans!
ME:
Any WOT fans out there?
Who is your favorite Charater? Perrin
Favorite Forsaken? Lanfear
Favorite Book? Lord of Chaos

Crazy theories?

1. Wow
That is lightning quick for Jordan.

I'd like to tell you what I think is going to happen but I'm going to have to go back and re-read the last 2 or 3 to remember what is going on.

I'm a pretty big fan.

Favorite character: Thom Merrilin or Mazrim Taim
Favorite Forsaken: Mmm this one is tough. Demandred!
Favorite Book: The Dragon Reborn. (really any book 1-4)

I'm really interested in whether he is going to pick up from the last books cliffhanger (Egwene being captured) or is he going to let us stew through a whole book while covering other arcs. The Mat storyline is one that is kinda dragging for me.

Joe

5. Nice choices
Mazrim Taim is such a evil bastard! I hope Logain gets to deal with him, I would love to see that fight (unless Taim is Forsaken).

DR: I loved it when Mat 'tried' to sneak into the Stone of Tear...that typical mat, and very funny.

3. Is he going anywhere with those books yet?
The first few were good before it turned into a damn soap opera.

4. The last 2 has dragged a bit
He has really focused on the political manuvering of the seemingly hundred of characters in the last couple of books ( though I Liked Winter's Heart ALOT). This I believe he does as a way of saying not all things are black and white, or people have various ways of approaching the big issuew. OR he doing it to sell more books!
After the way he left the last book hanging, some big issues better get resolved. Re-uniting the White Tower especially. And the whole Morgase, Faile and Company being captured by the Aiel.
I love the series, but shit, he better speed things up a bit. But of course I heard he wanted to make the series like 20 books, but I guess he is aiming more for 13 or 14

6. Agreed.
The next book really should rock. There are a lot of story lines peaking. Hopefully Jordan will give us a rest from Elaine's political wranglings and give us more action with Mat and Perrin. (Perrin especially)
I'd also like to see Rand a bit more. For such a central character he has been a bit absent.

I'm excited for the book.

7. Sorry to disappoint ...
but "New Spring" is not Book 11 in the Wheel of Time series. It's an expanded version of a short story which Jordan wrote a couple of years ago & is acutally a pre-quel describing when Moraine met Lan.

Sorry, but book 11 isn't expected out for another 12-18 months.
