Think hard----your favorite DAILY SHOW guests... |
|
Here's the Daily Show w/ Jon Stewart guests that stand out in my mind, from the last year or so:
AL FRANKEN: Holy crap, he was hilarious. Making fun of Fox News and everything..said some stuff that made me laugh my ass off, like talking about how if a reporter said something like "the war isn't going as perfectly as some had hoped", he imitated rightwingers by putting on an incredulous face and shouting "WHAT???!! F*CKING TRAITORS!!". Then his little campaign commercial idea for John Kerry with the parrot..
KATE BECKINSDALE: Wow, sexy as hell. She blew my mind (too bad thats all she blew...!).
LEWIS LAPHAM: Editor and writer for Harpers Magazine, he made it clear why the Bush administration is destroying America and his views echoed mine. This interview (as well as people on DU saying that Lapham was a genius of an essayist) was enough to make me suscribe to my first magazine, Harpers, and I'm loving every issue of it.

7. Yes, that was my favorite, too! |
|
And I thought Gephardt was very good. I was a little disappointed by Kucinich, though. He seemed strangely subdued.

9. I was also impressed with Gephardt |

I'm a supporter of his...he just has so much political history, like Gore, that he'll be pounded. He'll be branded another Gore. It's not fair but it's how the game will be played.

great to know there are people like him out there. I will get Harpers, also. Fun seeing Bob Newhart last night. My least favorite was the actor from "Office Space" who was also on "Sex and the City". Don't know his name. Don't care to; what a sexist pig. He said men rule; they write the checks. He wasn't being ironic.

6. Well, my number one isn't political. . . |
|
But is gotta be Matthew McConaughey telling about his ranch and the goat sex. The visual representation was classic.
Oddly, number 2 is Ann Coulter, just because Jon was so sickenly sweet in a totally patronizing way. He made me proud. I watched that episode on the replay just to yell at her on my TV screen some more. *hangs head in shame*

I remember an interview where my guy Kucinich put on a bit of a show, but the Matthew McConaughey thing was beyond brilliant.
