I'm unemployed, but kind of enjoying the time off (and kind of not). It's nice to be able to read so many books I've been meaning to read and spend more time with my wife & kids and stay up until 3AM if I feel like it.

There are downsides, but I'm trying to think of this time as a sabattical.

Glad to hear you're getting over the cold. By the way, do you find that after an illness is over, or after physical pain that you've had has gone, that it's difficult to remember exactly how the illness or pain felt? That's my experience.

This cold (flu) is one of those lingering ones. Seem to be on the mend, but it occasionally still comes back to bite me.

In utter confusion. Lost things surface for a moment, then disappear again, as if drawn down by an undercurrent.

Have to walk through rooms sideways, to avoid toppling the stacked boxes, some of which are labeled, some of which are not. (Makes for an interesting time -- here we have a t-square, a koala beanie, my planner, the extra car keys and a pack of Whiskas cat treats. Okay.)

On the upside, there's a roof overhead!

My incision is healing nicely and I'm in no pain at all! I'm still a little groggy from my pain pills, but at least I can walk again!
