Does anyone know what these rumors about Prince Charles are?

I'm seeing a lot of reports that Prince Charles is denying rumors about him, but NO ONE in the press is saying what those rumors are! Something about a Royal and a member of the household. Could it be the foul spectre of buggery?

Clarence House broke its silence over allegations surrounding the future king when his most senior aide took the extraordinary step of issuing a public denial of as-yet unpublished rumours involving Prince Charles's household.

Sir Michael said the allegations levelled at his boss by a former employee were "totally untrue". He said last night: "I agree it is rather unusual to make a statement about an unspecified allegation.

"However, this allegation is becoming common currency, it is the subject of much speculation and innuendo, and I just want to make it entirely clear, even though I can't refer to the specifics of the allegation, that it is totally untrue and without a shred of substance."

maybe they've decided that as there are so many rumours re the biggest bunch of tax payer funded in-breds in the world that it's easiest to give a blanket "rumour denial" to cover all bases

7. The rumour that's going round here (UK)

is that Prince Charles was caught in a sexual encounter with his ex Chief of Staff (who was also the guy who took out an injunction against the Mail on Sunday (& whose name the Guardian was allowed to reveal last night)) by a former servant who made a tape of the allegations (as well as a seperate rape allegation) which was in Princess Di's "crown jewels" box. The royal family stopped the Burrell trial because they feared that he would reveal the contents of the tape.

Diane is also alleged to have repeated these allegations in a series of tapes which are currently in the possession of Scotland Yard & which her former voice-coach is trying to get back.

There is another rumour going round that Charles and said ex CoS were in a relationship & it was this which sent Diana off to James Hewitt et al.

To be perfectly honest, I don't give a rats arse if these rumours are true or not -- what really pisses me off is that yet again the royal family and their entourage are getting special treatment in the law once again. That, plus they're once again putting a mockery to the notion of a "free press" over here. How bizarre is it that Prince Charles denies rumours -- with a great deal of the population not knowing what these rumours actually are. (Though given the internet, I'm sure it won't take long given that several websites across the world have broken this as a proper story, & the UK tabloid press is hinting as strongly as possible about what the story is about (see the Mirror article that is linked in the post above mine.)
