Just wanted to share some quotes from GrandmaPeridot :

By the way my grandmother is 72 years old ( will be 73 next month ) and kicks stronger than the rest of us . She volunteers every election at the local polling place and picks up everyone on our street and at her church who are not able to make it to the polls . She takes a basket full of pills a day - and is able to pay for her over priced prescription costs thanks to a health program for the elderly in our city .
I will never forget what she told me during the 2000 Election - When the news declared that Bush won the election in the state of North Carolina , my grandmother said the local board of elections had not even picked up the ballots nor had they started counting them yet . Interesting ... Every time I see Smirk on television I think back to that interesting tidbit .
