USA Today looks at the "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban"
I am so looking forward to this movie. I read Book 5 in 18 hours. I zoomed through the other four books in two weeks.

USA Today did a profile of the new Harry Potter movie and releases some pictures as well.

The new Dumbledore "Michael Gambon" replaced "Richard Harris" after he died.

Harry Potter

Glimpse the next 'Harry Potter' film
By Claudia Puig, USA TODAY

Werewolves and dementors are one thing, but how about teen hormones for something really scary?

The trailer for Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban hits theaters next Friday, and USA TODAY has the first look at the third film in the blockbuster series based on J.K. Rowlings' bestsellers.

This movie, which arrives in theaters June 4, 2004, is spookier, darker and more emotional, with a more adolescent and angry Harry Potter, now 13, a new Professor Dumbledore and a more contemporary look for Harry and his pals, Ron and Hermione. All of this from a new director, Alfonso Cuaron (Y Tu Mamá También, A Little Princess).

I didn't think there was gonna be a Harry Potter movie this year! This is such good news, I can't tell you!

And I've seen Tu Mamien - hope he didn't do that stuff in this movie; though on the other hand, sure would spice it up. :-)

On edit: Shit, doesn't come out til next summer. It's the trailer that comes out this year. Double drat perfect damn.

13. Ya know, I've been wondering about Ron

(fixed spelling)

It's comical watching Harry drool all over Hermione but I think Ron's got the hots for Malfoy.

7. The director said he was going to add some realistic tension to the movie
And when asked how, he said "With lots of sex and nudity." He then laughed and said it was a joke.

I like the thought f someone with actual directing skills giving it a try, though. I like the movies for the most part, but they have none of the charm and wit of the books. I've never like Columbus's work, even the scripts he wrote for Speilberg (like Goonies).

12. i, as a big harry potter fan
believe that the movie wont do justice to the book, because the book is so longit would take a 4 and a half hour movie to do true justice, and the other two were talking atleast 5 hours each

took on a much more sinister tone.

8. Why not so good for kids?
the books are meant to be read at the same age at which harry matures. One a year. Rowling specifically ties it to what she feels is age appropriate.

6. Resemblance is uncanny
The book was much darker than the first few but it still kept me enthralled.

I loved it, and I can't wait for the movie to come out. The kids look great, and I think it's going to be the best year at hogwarts yet!

14. Here's who's playing Sirius

Gary Coldman

He's got a variety of wide ranging roles, including the spooky bad guy in Fifth Element. He's also appeared in Lost in Space, Romeo is Bleeding, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are dead and Bram Stoker's Dracula.

16. Incipient Babehood...
... was the term a reviewer used for Hermione in a review of the last movie.

I was just glad to see the movies so I could finally figure out how to pronounce "Hermione". I have to admit to never having met anyone with that name.
