we just missed lebowski fest in louisville

Mayor Jerry Abramson will give Jeff "The Dude" Dowd a key to the city at Lebowski Fest's opening ceremonies tomorrow night at the Brown-Forman Waterfront Amphitheater. Abramson will honor Dowd at 8 p.m. Dowd was the inspiration for Jeff Bridges' character in "The Big Lebowski," the film that inspired Lebowski Fest.

Festival co-founder Will Russell called Dowd with the news Tuesday. "He laughed and said something about hoping they have enough money in the treasury," Russell said.

Sounds as if the first round of White Russians will be on The Dude.
