1. It would have to be a very loose definition of play
because it fucking hurts!

2. Pad Thai does
He does it gently too. He actually will grab my hand in his mouth and kick with his back feet too - but it isn't a real bite it's more like a little nibble.

Now if I trim his nails too close, then he'll bite for real and believe me, that's much more rare and a big difference.

I've also got him able to jump about four feet in the air whenever I break out the laser pointer on a nice dark night.

5. Oh yes--
Miss Kitty likes to "hand wrestle" and that usually includes a little light "hand biting".

6. If he bites when you touch his belly
I think that means, "Keep your kitty scratchers off of my belly!"

9. my cat didn't 'play' bite
Edited on Mon Aug-01-05 08:04 AM by nickinSTL
when he bit, it was for real.

If he didn't get what he wanted, WHEN he wanted it...he'd bite...HARD.

I had to put him to sleep 5 years ago (due to an illness he wasn't recovering from at age 16), and I still have scars.

10. Neutrino and Quark both do
Neutrino nibbles very gently on your fingers while you scratch her, doesn't matter where. She also air-kneads and purrs her head off at the same time.

Her brother Quark does the same, but not as often (as far as the nibbling goes). When he does, he's very gentle also.

11. Our black cat does too...I read somewhere that it means they
are over stimulated. Merlin also slobbers horribly when you pet him. :hi:
