6. The Crystal Methodists... also Jesus Chrysler
Actually, not so new names, but faves.

There was also a British band briefly that had a lead singer who looked and dressed as Jesus and they played U2 songs with "Jesus" singing... they were called "The Joshua Trio."

8. I saw Jesus Chrysler!
They played at a now-defunct delicatessen in Cleveland Heights called Irv's. Damn fun show. This was like '87, '88-ish.

That's a local band in Agoura Hills, CA. They had to temporarily change their name to play at our facility. :-)
