If so, what did you want it to be? I always wanted my name to be Katherine! Not anymore, but I used to love that name.

5. I got my wish...

From birth thru Kindergarten I was known as "Dick" or.... "Dickie". :(

When I was getting ready to go to 1st grade my parents asked me if I wanted to be known as 'Dick' or 'Richard'. I had NO idea my name was really Richard, so I took the new name. How exciting!! A new name for a new school!! What kid wouldn't want that?

BTW: At that time, I had NO idea of the anatomical meaning of 'Dick'. I'm really glad my folks gave me that choice.

9. Yes, my name is Jeanne
It sounded so bland. I wanted something exotic. Like Michelle, or something.
