Biopsy results tomorrow.

I originally was to wait until Thursday, but they moved my appointment up. I had a lot of tissue from my esophagus taken for biopsy about 10 days ago. I'm at high-risk for esophageal cancer. I'm glad I don't have to wait until Thursday for my results. I'm taking the whole day off work tomorrow. I'm watching my son in the morning while my husband runs errands and then we're all going to the doctor's together in the afternoon.

It's going to be ok. Like I told you before, my 75-yr-old dad beat esophageal cancer. I am certain your biopsy will be negative, but if it's positive, YOU CAN BEAT IT.

and I'll ask him if he has any advice for you. What you are going through is sooo emotionally traumatic. Take the time to care for yourself...take some alone time. You'll probably get a negative biopsy (fingers crossed and prayers said for you), and even if it is negative, you need to take Rene time. You will never realize how much stress you've been under until it's over.

My uncle lived 10 years after his first surgery, most of them good years.

My father had emphysema already, and ultimately lung cancer, and didn't do so well.

Both men were heavy smokers.

Seeing what smoking did to them, I have never smoked.

If smoking is your risk factor, you must quit irrespective of the outcome of your biopsy.
