Any Nordictrack Owners Here
I've been needing to start some kind of exercise program for a long time now, and when I was picking through the thrift store today, what to my wondering eyes did appear but a Nordictrack ProPlus skier in perfect shape for twenty bucks!

At that price I couldn't very well not buy it, and now I am about to drag it into the house.

It came with the manual, but I was wondering if anyone here had any tips or pointers, especially for someone who hasn't done any kind of regular exercise in years.

Thanks!

2. The Nordic track is a great all-around exercise
you burn lots of fat. make sure you stretch well and don't lock your joints while using it. that is the only advice I have. it's a great piece of equipment. :-)

3. Thanks to both of your for the pointers.
I'm going to spend some time with the manual and see if I turn up anything interesting.

5. Be careful you don't fall off. I did and got rid of mine.....
I also had NT treadmill, which was OK...but I got rid of that, too, when I moved and didn't have room for it. It was MASSIVE.

4. Someone else started a thread on this
I think it was prolesunited or supernova. I use one. The key is to start with just using your legs. Don't lean forward, the rest is really just for support and not to lean on, and protect your back. Also, take small strides and your heel should come up like you are walking. It's easy once you get the hang of it.

6. I got a couple of Volvos
with snow tires still on one of them. When the power steering gives out it's one helluva workout.
