Jeffery Prang/West Hollywood, CA - He's a hottie. I see him at the gym alot. If I weren't married I'd try out for the "First Lady" slot.

Met him once, pretty nice guy. Genuinely cares about the City of Boston, but he is hamstringed, constantly, by an incompetent bureaucracy.

Dave Bronconnier (Bronco), on the right, has just "hatted" Japanese PM Koizumi before last year's G8 conference.

Bronco is also being frustrated by an inept bureaucracy.

Worked hard to help getting him into the office ;-)

The city is a wreck though (continued spending after the cold war, despite not having nearly as much money; a bunch of conservatives grabbed the treasury and made a run for it (almost literally)). That all established Berlin parties are a west-Berlin only affairs doesn't help either.

That all said: he's doing a good job and he makes a fine mayor. Now and then the conservatives try to make an issue out of his sexual orientation (he's gay), but that fact was well known before the elections and is of no interest to the Berliners.
He is one of the few popular liberal politicians left (media campaigns and the hardship of governing during a crisis left little of the popular support for SPD politicians in Germany)

Well, he's not really my mayor, since my village has a President, not a mayor.
