Music is changing folks...for the better.

America's top rock band is a punk band - Green Day

the Killers have a classy retro sound with genuine energy.

Kids are into indie, EMO, and punk not crappy plastic "garment malfunction" corporate pop. The raps in Gunner Palace blew my mind and they are going to spread and slam this unjust war.

there is a gob of great music out there that is counter to the TV culture we have been force fed for decades.

1. Thanks but this 50 something
is looking forward to 6 September when the Rolling Stones release their latest studio produced album. After 42 years you think they might finally get it right. I believe the old guys will hang in there in the genre that has their DNA running through it.

3. They just keep rolling along
And in tribute to your post I believe I'll take 40 Licks along with me on my drive to town today. Hear em whip the women just around midnight.

Everytime I see a "What's your top ten greatest rock and roll songs of all time" thread - Gimme Shelter is always my number one but the rest of the list changes.

10. My wife bought me a record player for my birthday
Three months later I think she may have regretted that move. I am definitely getting the most out of the gift. It does not have the greatest stereo quality but I love the scratchs and all. There is a neat store in the French Quarter, The Majic Bus, which sells old CD's and lots of records. Its a great place to peruse.

4. Ahhhh The Stones!
Me too, me too. I only wish I could afford to go see them one more time the next tour. I can only imagine what the tickets are going to cost.

5. You'll get plenty of opportunities
They'll be touring for another 20 years or so. They are just getting warmed up.

11. No, it isn't
it totally neuters the definition of rebellion. Kids these days think they're being a rebel when they're really just giving the corporations more money, and that's sad.
